Catalyst

“Nobody ever died of discomfort, yet living in the name of comfort has killed more ideas, more opportunities, more actions, and more growth than everything else combined.”
-T. Harv Eker

I am the girl who would rather take a class on evolution than creative writing.

I am the girl who can list the trigonometric identities but can’t name that one famous 90’s actress.

I am the girl who can memorize the the entire history of the United States but can’t hit a note to save her life.

My name is Shannon, and I don’t want to be defined by my ACT score or GPA. Funny as it seems, even science-oriented minds can imagine, dream, and feel. I’m blogging to push myself out of my comfort zone where formulas and logic keep everything simple and structured. I suppose that’s why writing is intimidating- there are no rules when it comes to emotions and opinions. But God gave me a right hemisphere, so I might as well use it. Maybe I’ll surprise myself.
